Scholarship Opportunities for Forestry Students in 2027

The Forest and Wood Foundation (previously the NZIF Foundation) is pleased to announce that the 2026 Southern Wood Council and Hawkes Bay Forest Group Scholarships are taking applications.

The Southern Wood Council (SWC) Scholarship is worth a total of $6000 over 3 years for those heading into their second year of study in Forestry at the University of Canterbury in 2027 with a connection to Otago, Southland or South Canterbury.

The Hawkes Bay Forestry Group (HBFG) Scholarship is worth $5000 and available to Hawkes Bay locals studying towards a bachelor degree in Forestry in any year at the University of Canterbury or Forestry Diploma at Turanga Ararau in 2027.
