Eligibility
You can apply if you are:
Enrolled in a forestry or forestry related postgraduate degree at a New Zealand university.
Able to provide evidence of enrolment for the study period covered by the application.

Terms of payment
The award is up to $2,000. Payment will be arranged with the successful applicant after selection.
Background information
When the NZIF Foundation was established by the New Zealand Institute of Forestry in December 2011, the Trustees agreed to take over the Frank Hutchinson Postgraduate Scholarship.
Frank Hutchinson was appointed as a lecturer in forest utilisation at the first forestry school at Canterbury University College in 1924 and remained until the school closed in 1933. He joined the New Zealand Institute of Foresters in 1929 and served as President for a two year term in 1954.
